argh, this week so super slow moving! i just cant wait for next week when it'll be my annual leave!! and then its closer to christmas..which is a bad time, i really secretly hope this year's year end bonus would be a HUGE one, then at least i can spluge abit on the family and myself of course! hah!
went to work on monday, saw my patient who's off BIPAP already and only on nasal cannula, and when she saw me, she was all smiles and said in hokkien " missy, where have you been?? i've been looking for you the past few days, you resting is it?" so i replied her that i was off and she carried on to say that she was sorry for causing so much problems when she was on the BIPAP, cause it was really uncomfortable and all and to add on, she was NBM (nil by mouth) and her mouth was really dry and she couldnt take it, hence she kept trying to pull the mask off. ahhhh...i felt so bad after that, cause i can vividly remember scolding her at night for continuously trying to pull out the mask when her breathing wasnt stablised yet. so i told her its alright and she held my hand so tightly after that and her face showed gratitude.
i just realised, how much i do love my job. which was something that ,( i admit)initially, i was actually ashamed of telling people what i was doing. cause everyone's perception of nursing is that its a dirty job, that we only changed diapers and stuff like that, but i guess, some people just cant see past the dirty diapers and urinals. the satisfaction gained when you see a really ill person leaving the ward, all recovered and looking very healthy, just makes me feel really contented.
been pretty pre-occupied lately with lotsa stuffs. and i'm really glad to have a night owl to accompany me and to listen. haha..really sorry to have caused you so many late nights!! but i really appreciate it loads! =D..you have NO IDEA how LOW i was that night..arghh..oh wells...
KAREN WONG!!! 2 WEEKS!! 2 MORE WEEKS and you'll no longer take an hour to get to town anymore!! you can leave your house at 1240 and still reach town by 1300!! hahaha..and once you're back..YASSINS it is... =)
